A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through 3 pm today for Dickenson and Buchanan counties across southwest Virginia along with eastern Kentucky. Snow showers will gradually diminish to flurries for most locations this afternoon, but temperatures will remain very cold. Gusty winds will continue through mid to late afternoon, pushing wind chill values down into the single digits at times. A High Wind Warning remains in effect for Ashe and Watauga counties until 4 pm this afternoon with winds expected to gust over 50 mph at times. High temperatures will stay below freezing from the 20’s area wide.
