Dana Wachter joined WJHL in September 2008 as a digital journalist. That means she does it all: reporter, photographer, editor, online journalist, and contributor to the Bristol Herald Courier. Dana will cover the entire region for Your Tri-Cities News Source, with special emphasis on Unicoi County.

Before coming to Northeast Tennessee, Dana reported and anchored for Capital News Service on UMTV. She interned with ABC World News in Washington, D.C., WTTG Fox 5 in D.C., and CNN Productions in Atlanta.

Raised in Marietta, Georgia, she graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park. There, Dana studied Broadcast Journalism and Sociology. She's thrilled to get back to the South, especially to Big Orange Country, since she grew up listening to "Rocky Top" with her father, a UT alumnus.

Dana enjoys exploring the area and outdoor activities, swimming, painting, and cooking. She's always up for an adventure.
