Jennifer Estep is a features page designer for the Herald Courier by day and a fiction author by night. She has a bachelor's degree in journalism and English and a master's degree in professional communications, all from East Tennessee State University.
She served as an intern for an engineering magazine in Cleveland, Ohio, and has written freelance articles for a variety of publications. A lifelong resident of the Tri-Cities area, Estep joined the Herald Courier in 1999 and has edited feature stories and designed feature pages. She has won several awards from the Virginia Press Association, the Tennessee Press Association, Media General News Service and the Tri-Cities Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
In her spare time, Estep is a fantasy author prowling the streets of her imagination in search of her next super idea. She is the author of two superhero-themed books, "Karma Girl" and "Hot Mama". Her third book, "Jinx", was released in September 2008. Her books have been featured in Southern Living, Cosmo and Entertainment Weekly. She has her own Web site, www.jenniferestep.com.
