Guy Kramer joined the Herald Courier's copy desk in the summer of 2007 as a copy editor/ page designer.

Reared in Greeneville, Tennessee, near Tusculum College, he attended Tusculum View Elementary and Greeneville Middle School before moving to Florida. Kramer attended college in Florida and Oregon but took a hiatus from higher education to work and explore the country.

He has traveled extensively throughout the United States and spent seven years working in the Alaskan fishing industry.

In 2005, Kramer returned to college and graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2006 with bachelor's degrees in biology and microbiology.

While attending ETSU, Kramer worked for the student newspaper, The East Tennessean, for two years as a news and viewpoint writer and for one semester as news editor.
