6th Annual Children’s Speedway Charities Golf Tournament

The Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities raised nearly $30,000 at the Sixth Annual Bristol Dragway Celebrity Golf Benefit presented by Alpha Natural Resources Thursday at the Country Club of Bristol

Funny Car driver Mike Neff and his Alpha Natural Resources team took home the Darrell Russell Cup, shooting a 56 for the day. Joining Neff on the winning team was Lewis Spicer, Mike Patrick, Logan Patrick and David Kendal.

Two-time tournament winner and Top Fuel star Cory McClenathan and his team took second place. Harper Lee, Russell Branham, Jerry Caldwell and Pete Merkel were part of the runner-up team.

Finishing third was Pro Stock driver Dave Connolly’s team, which consisted of Earl Buchanan, Miles Snider, Mack McCall and Dave Spears
A total of 18 NHRA stars took part in the tournament, including Larry Dixon, Brandon Bernstein, Antron Brown, Tony Schumacher, Morgan Lucas, Allen Johnson, Justin Humphries, Clay Millican, Melanie Troxel, Tommy Johnson, Jr., Bob Tasca, Morgan Lucas and Shawn Langdon.
