Outlook
An 8-2 record last season wasn’t good enough for Chilhowie to make the playoffs in a loaded Region C, Division 2 race. That will only serve as motivation for the Warriors this fall as 12 starters return. Senior Alex Russell might be the district’s top all-around player. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound standout handles running back, inside linebacker and kicking duties for the Warriors and does all three well. Curtis “Tuff” Williams, Josh Jackson, Lucas Dowell and Josh Adams should all shine, while the trio of Justin Terry, Richard Griffith and Chris Testerman provide continuity on the line. As always, Chilhowie will be among the Hogoheegee’s elite.
