Castlewood’s Smith blasts two homers in win over St. Paul
Castlewood senior Chris Smith didn?t pitch but he certainly helped his team in a big way at the plate blasting two homers to help lead the Blue Devils to a 17-2 win over St. Paul at Bowman Field.

Kansas City Royals relief pitcher Jimmy Gobble will partake in a unique tradition this afternoon at Detroit?s Comerica Park. He?ll stand alongside his teammates, the national anthem will be sung, planes will fly over and more than 40,000 fans in the stadium will be infected with baseball fever.

Gobble’s efforts rewarded by Royals
Jimmy Gobble was reliable last season for the Kansas City Royals. The left-handed pitcher appeared in 74 games, was tough on left-handed hitters and even established a new franchise record. He got a pay raise for his efforts.

Jarrod Sparks taking helm of Castlewood High School baseball team
