Chilhowie High School quarterback Josh Jackson passed the time on Friday evening watching game film.

It wasn’t how he expected to spend his Friday night, but plans changed after snow blanketed Southwest Virginia and resulted in the postponement of both Region C football title games.

Both games were rescheduled for today.

Chilhowie (10-1) plays at Floyd County (11-0) at 1 p.m. in the Region C, Division 2 championship game.

“I personally think it’s a good thing they changed it,” Jackson said. “I was looking forward to playing in the cold weather, but it was going to be really cold.”

Holston (9-2) will play host to Bath County (8-3) at 7 p.m. in the Region C, Division 1 championship game. The Cavaliers are playing for the regional championship for the first time since 1984.
