The 13-year-old brother of Tennessee
safety Eric Berry says he wants to play for the Volunteers too.
That’s without having played a single down of high school
football.
Evan Berry will be an eighth-grader in the fall, but is expected
to eventually play quarterback and safety at Creekside High School
in Fairburn, Ga., like his older brother.
He told recruiting Web site Rivals.com that he’s “committed to
Tennessee” and wants to play for defensive coordinator Monte
Kiffin.
Berry would first be eligible to play for Tennessee in 2014, the
last year in coach Lane Kiffin’s six-year contract. Monte Kiffin
signed a three-year contract in January, which wouldn’t guarantee
he would still be on staff if Berry stays committed to Tennessee.

Well, if he’s used to eigth grade academics, he’d fit right into the UT athletic department
