Tennessee forward Emmanuel Negedu will
spend some time at the Cleveland Clinic to consult with doctors
about his health.
The 20-year-old was revived by the Volunteers’ training staff
after a post-workout at the Tennessee training facilities on
Monday. Tennessee staff have not confirmed reports that he did not
have a pulse after collapsing.
Tennessee spokesman Tom Satkowiak says the 6-foot-7, 218-pound
sophomore from Kaduna, Nigeria, was discharged from the University
of Tennessee Medical Center on Thursday after three days of
testing.
Negedu is traveling to Cleveland with Volunteers associate
athletic trainer Chad Newman and his American guardian family.
Negedu averaged 7.2 minutes, 1.9 rebounds and 1.7 points in 33
games.
