Once a Topper always a Topper. At least that’s what Matt Rice thinks.  The former Science Hill Hilltopper is now a Western Kentucky Hilltopper baseball star. The sophomore is already putting together a steller career. Rice has started and played in 19 games this season.  His .367 batting average is 3rd best on the team.  Rice says adjusting to the speed of the game and the better pitching was the biggest challenge.  he credits his time at Science Hill for preparing him for the college game.  Rice started 26 games and played in 40 games as a freshman. Both best on the team.
