RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A travel group says more Virginians are
expected to celebrate July 4 at home this year because of a spike
in gas prices and uncertainty about the economy.

Spokeswoman Windy A. VanCren says AAA Mid-Atllantic expects a
1.8 percent decline in the number Virginia holiday travelers,
compared to 2008.

The travel group says gas prices have jumped 16 cents per gallon from May.
