Writer urges voter support Creigh Deeds

Attention Virginia voters: Bob McDonnell should scare the daylights out of you! He will work hard to undo everything our state has accomplished. Mark Warner started Virginia’s “Renaissance,” and Deeds will continue moving it forward. Thanks to their leadership, Forbes named Virginia the “Best State for Doing Business” four years running! McDonnell claims he will be a jobs governor, but has never created even one job! He also consistently opposed funding the Governors Opportunity Fund – legislation sponsored by Deeds that created 80,000 jobs.  He embraces the Dark Ages of Gilmore (a time that ran our state into the ground financially and socially) and the fiscal policies of Bush (see current economic disaster).
McDonnell wants you to believe that he is moderate, but McDonnell is an agent of the far right extreme – he’s a disciple of Pat Robertson’s fanaticism! He not only earned his masters degree from Robertson’s university (where he wrote his misogynistic thesis at the tender age of 34), he also served on the Board of Directors, upholding the university’s employment policy of “equal opportunities for men and women, consistent with Biblical teachings that men are the head of households.”  He didn’t denounce this policy until he hit the campaign trail. He is anti-worker, pro-big corporation and anti-choice – even in cases of rape or incest. He would use the Pennsylvania model for part of his transportation plan – imposing tolls (Republican-speak for taxes) on the Virginia/North Carolina border.
Another part of his plan is to privatize ABC stores – the amount of underage sales would be one problem, but then how do we replace that revenue source? All of this means McDonnell would govern using Robertson’s social agenda and Bush’s economic policies – God help us!
If you don’t get out and vote, you wasted your time and energy on electing Warner and Obama. Vote for honesty, integrity and a real Virginia born and bred candidate, who will keep Virginia moving forward – vote Creigh Deeds!

Socialist?Geez.I wish it was. Most of you don’t know socialism from a hole in the ground.“In the U.S., a tiny proportion of the population enjoys fantastic wealth, while millions of people live in desperate poverty, and many more live paycheck to paycheck. Yet we have the resources to feed, clothe and educate everyone on the planet.

A world free of exploitation—socialism—is not only possible but worth fighting for….the tradition of revolutionary socialists Karl Marx, V.I. Lenin and Leon Trotsky is the belief that workers themselves—the vast majority of the population—are the only force that can lead the fight to win a socialist society. Socialism can’t be brought about from above, but has to be won by workers themselves.

The Democratic Party, much like the Republicans, acts in the interests of Corporate America and the privileged few at the top. Therefore, socialists do not support their candidates.“from the ISO website.

What you clowns better be scared of is anyone in political office right now. This country is as socialist as can be now and eventually we all will be giving our paychecks to the government. IF you are one of the lucky ones to have a job right now. It so funny to watch you democrat and republicans say how much better your guy is than the other guy. I say they all suck and im right. Who do you blame for lost jobs, lost wages, taxes, war, etc. Not me, and surely not you either. The crooked government politicians. You can vote for any of those clowns but dont whine to me when you have no job, no money, nothing but higher prices and taxes. Any problem we have right now you can blame 99 percent of it on a politcians action or actions. Dont hand me that crap about going out voicing my opinion and voting. Its a waste of precious time. No matter which clown you elect to office your screwed up and down, inside and out. Politicians are natural born thieves and liars. I hope we can all agree on that. So take your elephant and donkey and have fun. I’ll be looking up to God for the answers.

It’s time we woke up in this country,it don’t matter who you vote for.“Suppose you go to Washington and try to get at your government. You will always find that while you are politely listened to, the men really consulted are the men who have the big stake—the big bankers, the big manufacturers and the big masters of commerce…. The masters of the government of the United States are the combined capitalists and manufacturers of the United States.“

Chris; Deeds is the one that scares me with his cap and trade support and his comments on paying higher taxes. Under the last two gov.we have had record tax increases and nothing to show for it except smaller paychecks. Where has that money gone?? And please don’t give me the blame Bush deal. I will vote but it won’t be for Deeds.

Sorry Chris, keep beating your drum, but even lord Obama has departed Deeds’ camp…
