‘Times’ Have Changed, But God Has Not
Recently there has been media coverage about gay rights saying we need to accept their lifestyle because times have changed. Well, if this be the case then we should accept the fact that people are killing people and children are being abused and murdered, because after all, times have changed and this is a part of life.
God has not changed. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. It was wrong in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah and it is wrong today.
Homosexuals do not have a problem telling President Obama (or anyone who will listen) what they stand for and what they want. It’s time we as God’s people do the same. Christians need to stand up for what is right. We need to let the world know that Jesus is still on his throne.
Ask yourself “Is this my last day on earth?” Please take heed, eternity is just a heartbeat away.

Children are not born gay. You can not believe this, I hope. Children are born in the likeness of God, who does not condone this behavior. Look, this is a pointless conversation because there will be no changing your mind. You choose to do whatever you like and make it ok in your mind but I think we all know what is right and what is wrong. There should not be special rights for a persons sexual preference, which is all that this is.
A discussion, pro and con, of whether Jesus himself might have been gay is posted at:

finfan: you say that folks “CHOOSE” to be gay.
i ask you this question. when did you choose to be straight? since this is such a momentous decision, surely you would remember the day you decided to be straight.
maybe you have this point of view because you secretly have homosexual tendacies. check out the University of Georgia study of “straight” males that got more arousal out of watching man on man movies than straight movies. that could be it for you , couldn’t it?
Sorry Finfan, but there is good evidence that gays and lesbians are born that way. Estimates run as high as 10% of the general population. It is not something they “choose.“
Your comparison of humans and animals nonsensical. Do most heterosexuals have relations with animals of the opposite sex?
You state that, “Sexual preference is not a foundation for special rights.“ On this I agree I agree. Why should straights have special rights like marriage that are denied to gays?
Bbart- no hatred but you are confusing people who are born red headed and left handed to people who CHOOSE to have realtionships with the same sex. If they deserve the same rights then next we will allow humans and animals because there are some who choose to do that as well. Sexual preference is not a foundation for special rights.
If you are so prejudiced against gay and lesbian people, does your scorn and disgust extend to King James I? He is the man who gave you the King James Version of the book you call “holy” and worship like the early Israelites worshiped their golden calf.

Even though I am “straight,“ it is easier for me to “accept their lifestyle” than it is for me to accept your backward, fundamentalist bible-thumping Christian-wannabe hatreds.
Gays and lesbians should be entitled to every right that we “straights” enjoy in the USA, including the right to marry. Your views sound like those against blacks before the Civil Rights Act moved them toward full citizenship.
Who will be the next group for you to denounce? Redheads? People who are left handed?
I agree 100%, we should not ever have to accept their lifestyle. Times have changed and this is why we need to stand up for what is right in God’s eyes. If this is your lifestyle, then so be it but don’t try to force it on the rest of the world asking for acceptance.
