Regional president backs Terry Frye
For the past eight years, Bristol, Va., has been fortunate to have Terry Frye as its Commissioner of Revenue.
Terry has the experience and training to make him an effective commissioner. He practiced law for 16 years before becoming commissioner. In 2006, Terry was awarded with a certification as a Master Commissioner of Revenue from the University of Virginia.
Terry was elected in 2009 as the third vice president of the Virginia Commissioner of Revenue Association (CORVA). He serves on five important committees with CORVA.
Terry is extremely active in improving the city of Bristol through his extensive community involvement. Terry volunteers his legal work for the benefit of these agencies and the community in general.
He serves as an officer and/or as a board member of many local non-profit foundations including the United Way and the Shelby Masonic Lodge. He has served as president of the Crisis Center, the Bristol Host Lions Club, the Bristol Tennessee Bar Association and the World Prayer Foundation. He was the treasurer of the Virginia Middle School Band Boosters for five years.
Terry also is devoted to serving the citizens of the city of Bristol. We know that it would be extremely difficult to take on the job of commissioner without the kind of background and experience that he possesses.
As fellow Democratic, Republican and independent commissioners, we know a good commissioner when we see one and Terry is one of the best. Please re-elect Terry Frye as your Commissioner of the Revenue on Nov. 3.
