Principle Of Sowing, Reaping Affects Everyone
These are not the best of times in America. The news media, politicians and other “experts” have much to say, but offer few solutions.
Perhaps this failure is because the fundamental problem is not being addressed, namely the principle of “sowing and reaping.”
As a benchmark for analysis, we have two sources: the Holy Bible, which evangelical Christians regard as the infallible Word of God, and history itself. Either of these sources will make the case that nations and individuals reap what they sow.
One of many examples of this can be seen in Leviticus 26:16 and following, wherein God says in essence: “Trust honor and obey me and I will bless you. If you do not, then my wrath will be poured out upon you.”
This is God’s management style and the theme of “sowing and reaping” runs throughout the Bible, throughout history and in the lives of individuals.
And what has been sown lately? We have allowed a few to exploit that ill-chosen and misleading phrase “separation of church and state” as a means of suppressing Christianity. This has become, to some extent, a national policy and surely the ultimate insult to Almighty God.
We have lost sight of the fact that the foundation of this country was modeled after Christian principles of morality, and that our successes and blessings have been the result.
And now we find ourselves still agonizing over 9/11, and at the mercy of a floundering government, a populace that is divided, discouraged, angry and confused. We have two wars in progress, a poor economy and a mountain of indebtedness. The list goes on.
We tend to blame the Washington politicians – where much of the blame should rest – but let us not forget that these are the very people who are representative of the general population, supposedly the best among us, those who “we the people” have chosen to govern. Their failures are ours as well.
And so, we should remember the “sowing and reaping” principle which the Bible and history make evident, and examine ourselves.
The next time we hear a politician end a speech with the usual “God bless America,” we need to ask ourselves, why should He?

No matter how you add it up when the system has been changed like it was in 1913 with the Wealthy taking over the money of the USA there can only be one end to that game.
The end game is the Wealthy Elite and the Banker against everyone else.
The is a point of no return in that system where there will never be enough money in the system to pay the interest on debts held by the people and the Government.
Interest on money is the knife that kills capitalism when it allows unchecked growth and greed.
FDR, it’s not just the rich who we have to blame. It’s also the professional poor who use their elected officals to take from others to give them what they desire. In the Old Testament, there was the law of gleaning where a poor person was entitled to glean their food from the “rich” but it involved doing some of their own work. Thw welfare state we have evolved simply takes from those who work hard and gives to those who don’t. The politicians who can be “bought” are to be blamed also. For that matter, every American who has the attention span of a mosquito becasue they spend all of their time watching television instead of remembering these issues for the next election is to be blamed. Shall I go on?
Indeed we are reaping what the “owners” of this country have sown, since the patron saint of Faux news worshippers,Ronald Reagan, was president. We live in a “plutocracy”,not a republic or democracy. This country has been milked dry by the filthy, greedy, rich and we are suffering the consequences now.
It is undeniable that everyone was affected by the economic crisis specially the workers or laborers wherein many companies filed for bankruptcy leaving people jobless. The Economic Stress Index is still high – over 11, which is high stress, but it is starting to dip. The unemployment rate is also starting to trend downward, in that fewer people are being laid off, but not everyone is hiring. Credit card lenders and mortgage lenders, however will be playing it safe, so despite the leveling off of the Economic Stress Index, the credit industry is still in need of debt relief.

Mr. Reames, your letter is super. One of the most common sense pieces I’ve read in a long time. Yes, the American people are confused perhaps like they have never been confused before. And if our leaders fail, we also fail. Greed and corruption have brought us to where we are today. The morals of our land have diminished, we’ve left God out of our business, out of our schools, our homes. What will be the price we shall pay?

While we are considering quotes from the Book of Leviticus we should consider other choice tidbits from what the fundamentalists believe to be the “infallible Word of God.“

Americans stood by fully knowing things like PreApproved Creidt Cards would destory people lifes. They knew that electing an Official based on Religion rather than past works was a bad idea. They stumbled along wanting to be part of the Majority falsely created by the Media who are controled by those who wanted control of the Government.
Now these same people are trying to demoralize the voters with reverse psychology hoping to keep them from voting out some politicans in the comming elections.
Do you desreve God attention at all ? I often wornder why he would bother.
