Paramount Center Needs Local Support

I am writing to let the community know that their support is needed for The Paramount Center for the Arts. As a 501 c (3), organization, the Paramount must rely on the generous support of our regional community, and I can guarantee you that each and every gift makes a difference.

I remember when efforts were started to restore The Paramount. How exciting it was when the work was done, and the community pride when The Paramount re-opened its doors. Each year, the Paramount is one of our most treasured stages by artists performing during the annual Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion. The artists remark that the acoustics are perfect, and artists and festival-goers agree that it is one of their favorite places to listen to music. It is an honor as an organization to showcase this facility during our event.

It is my hope that our community will step up to the plate and support The Paramount Center for the Arts in these tough economic times. No gift is too small:  have a fund raiser, donate money, encourage others to give – these are all things that we can do to make sure we keep the arts alive in downtown Bristol, Tenn./Va.

Ross is the executive director of the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion.

You are one hundred percent right, they do need our support. I will be mailing them something today. Thank you for your letter Ms. Ross, it is a good reminder to all of us.
