No Outcry Over Bush Taunting

I don’t recall an outcry from the Bluff City resident when the outrageous disrespect was being expressed toward President Bush.
This is typical of left wing supporters whose ostrich approach to the socialist policies being pushed by this president and the Congress, which is controlled by his party.
The president should focus his energies and policies toward adults, not elementary children. Indeed, that’s the socialist approach used by Nazis: Control and brainwash them before they are old enough to know better.
The Social Security Act is another example of government intervention by Democrats when none was needed. One only has to look at the results and what it’s cost us. The same applies to Medicare, which by itself is an out of control monster that’s eating us alive.
That, too, is the product of Democrats. There was a time when families, friends and churches took care of the sick/elderly and illegal aliens be dammed and that was working fine until politicians stuck their vote seeking noses into it.
The purpose of the federal government is not to meddle in our personal lives, nor to provide us jobs, nor to furnish us with insurance. It’s purpose is to protect us against things from which we cannot protect ourselves. i.e. foreign invasions, corporate monopolies that strangle competition, etc..
As far as the qualifications of Obama? All of us didn’t elect him nor do we subscribe to the fantasy that he’s a capable president. He has no military experience, no foreign policy experience, no economic experience, he’s never owned or operated a business, he has no experience with the CIA or it’s purpose. Being black, a lawyer, having only had 143 days in the Senate and the ability to read from a monitor is all he has going for him and when the monitor goes out he loses that one and mostly stutters and stammers.
Lastly, the writer from Bluff City, in typical Democratic party fashion, is quick to point out that Republicans offered little or no support to the above mentioned programs [which I think was the correct decision] but is she aware that Republicans almost single handedly passed the Civil Rights Bill of the 1960s, with virtually no support from Democrats?
At any rate, it’s way past time to limit the intrusion of government in our lives and as I see it, the best way to do that is to put the Democrats back in the minority.

bunny hugger,

And just exactly where did you hear that from?

Flag Comment Posted by BunnyHugger on October 14, 2009 at 4:33 pm

I seriously just heard a right wing nutjob saying that the cloud hanging over Moscow was a bomb from Obama.

Amazing. Do you think I could blame Obama for my cat getting pregnant? lol

Yes BunnyHugger, and MtnRaven, and it’s rather funny to see how commonsense is speaking for everyone now. I mean sheesh, he’s not just defending himeslf, saying he’s not bitter, but he says “no one is bitter”.

Surely if commonsense says that no one is bitter then it must be true.

Heck, if “Bunny"Hugger and “Fox"Sux can get along, you’d think others could too.  Now, BunnyHugger, if you’d just come a little closer, I have something I want to whisper to you *bearing my sharp-toothed grin*

Yes Bunny….I feel sorry for people that can’t move on. They are stuck in one speed….reverse.

I am going to have to agree with you on the bitterness, foxsux.

Sux-
No one is bitter- we’re just educated and see where he is leading the country- the greatest country on the planet, and you are blinded from the euphoria of ‘what’s in it for me’ syndrome…

kdr1, to answer your reply on Oct.12th., that wasn’t the answer either. I tried that and their reply was that we (Americans) have many distinct cultures throughout this nation. There are several here in Virginia and Southwest Va. Politicaly there are more than the two you mentioned, cons and libs, so that didn’t float either. It is more confusing to people on the outside looking in than it is to those of us inside looking at ourselves. Others see us in an entirely different light than we pretend to be. This foreign exchange student made me realize we aren’t fooling anybody but ourself. Others see right through the smoke and mirrors and we are too stupid to thing they don’t.
You are right about one thing though, both sides Democrates and Republicans have strong sincere beliefs and can not be presuaded otherwise. This Blog subject is an example of that. Have you ever been stuck in mud or snow and couldn’t get out, comments here are like that. People are stuck and can’t get out.

fox sux,

I think the bitter thread is you against anything conservative, republican, or anything outside of super Obama! I am neither. Can’t really stand neither side, independent here. You contradict yourself in your statement. Trying to tell someone else there bitter with a bitter statement. Get a clue Mr. Sux!

It just seems to me that there are a lot of very bitter people in this thread. Why are they bitter?

A) Bitter because Obama won the election.

b) Bitter because a black man won the election.

C) Bitter because Obama got the Nobel Peace prize.

D) Bitter because a black man got the Nobel Peace prize.

E) Bitter because their candidate didn’t win the election.

F) Bitter because Obama is making changes that are badly needed in this country.

G) Bitter because they listen to too much Fox News, Rush, Etc.

H) All of the above.

Take your pick. The bitterness is clearly evident, and rampant.

I don’t ever recall such profound bitterness from the left/Democrats/liberals when the other side was in charge.

I do however remember it from the Right/Republicans/conservatives back when Clinton was president too.

It must be a rather sad way to live, to be so bitter any time you don’t get your way.
