Deeds a proven leader; will boost education

I am a member of the United Auto Workers Local 2807. I am supporting Creigh Deeds for governor because he cares about the issues important to working people in Southwest Virginia. He has strong support from the labor movement. He has received endorsements from UAW Region 8, the Virginia AFL-CIO and the United Mine Workers of America. He cares about the issue of health care and believes it should be more accessible and affordable. The unions are very passionate about this issue, on the state and national level.
Creigh Deeds cares about education. He wants teacher pay raised to the national average and more investment in early childhood education. He is an avid hunter. He has received an A rating from the National Rifle Association for fighting for gun rights.
I truly believe Creigh Deeds has a real plan to make things better for the people of Southwest Virginia. I encourage the voters of Southwest Virginia to vote for a proven leader, Creigh Deeds, state senator from Bath County, on Nov. 3, as our next governor of Virginia.

Deeds said when asked, “If you’re governor and you get a bill that funds transportation in some form of either general or non-general fund tax increase, will you sign it?” Deeds responded that he would “build consensus around a series of ideas that allow us to fund transportation, and yes, I will sign that bill.”

So what? You people on this tax issue act like the government is coming and taking all of your paycheck yet you will undoubtedly complain about bad roads, unfunded police and fire depts, etc. etc. Instead, you walk through life voting against your better interests because someone along the way has convinced you that electing a democrat is nothing more than electing someone who will send the SWAT team in to confiscate your shotgun and pistol any minute after taking office. Let me ask you guys something. During the 4 years of Warner and the proceeding 4 years of Kaine, how many of your guns were taken away? My guess is none, but I’m also guessing that you feel similiar to McDonnell in that women should remain home, gays are sub citizens, and government should be run by Gaaaaawwwwwd! Who was it that said “seek and ye shall find, ask and ye shall receive?“ Just wait Virginia, if you though Gilmore was bad, just wait until the minions of Liberty University get their filthy hands on the executive branch of Virginia’s government. Free food for everyone except the poor and middle class. Taxes???????? My guess is that very few of you conservatives who post here make over a quarter a million a year anyway, so if you believe Hannity and Limbaugh…..you don’t even pay taxes. If you get money back each year and gripe about taxes, it is incontravertible evidence that the right wing screech monkeys have you so fooled it is pitiful.

I can’t help but feel sorry for anyone who would support a Taliban for Gov of any state.

McDonnell believes that…

““working women were detrimental to the family” and that “government should penalize unmarried “cohabitators, homosexuals or fornicators,“. That divorce should be further restricted, and that family is “God-ordained government” untouchable by civil law.”“

The guy is a walking, talking turd. Depraved, demented and completely and totally without morals of any kind.

I mean, if McDonnell is elected it’s nothing to me. I don’t live in VA. That’s going to be Virginia’s embarrassment. It’s not a “referendum” on Obama, Democrats or policies. It’s a referendum on Virginians.

I hope the good, God-loving people get to the polls and save their state from the single issue, uneducated voters of which there are so many.
Your state doesn’t deserve this kind of degrading example.

Deeds has already said he will raise our taxes again. How’s that for helping the working man? He is for cap and trade will raise your gas and electric bills if it passes. Your right the state does not run on the NRA but my bills do not get paid by the state or higher taxes either.

Anyone who can vote for McDonnell when he rejected unemployment assistance ($125 million in stimulus money) to extend the unemployment benefits for Virginians who lost their jobs deserves what they get. Unfortunately, the rest of us will have to suffer along. The state does not run on the NRA. It runs on working people who can earn a living wage. Under McDonnell it will not run well at all. Please vote for Creigh Deeds for all Virginians.

In the Nov. edition of American Rifleman an NRA magazine Deeds received a B rating while McDonnell received an A and the endorsement from the NRA for gov.
