Praying for rain

I know that rainy days are gloomy and depressing. They also make a muddy mess and travel becomes slippery. But hey, we’re in a drought. So, let’s give credit where credit is due! Let’s praise the Lord for the rain that he has sent and let’s pray he will continue to replenish our water supply.

With all our wonderful scientific knowledge, there are still mysteries that belong to God alone. We could benefit from a paraphrase of some questions from the book of Job.

Where were you the last time it rained? Were you the wind that brought the clouds? Did you send the clouds so that the moisture could fall over our region? We humans are so proud that some would rather believe our ancestors evolved from slime and apes rather than to give credit to a loving creator. Go figure!

Let’s continue to pray for rain and the next time it falls, give credit where credit is due!
