East wrestlers slighted

I was very disappointed with the article that was written about the Best of Bristol Wrestling Tournament. You failed to mention that the Sullivan East Patriots won this tournament.

The Patriot Team is a young team that has worked hard to win the Best of Bristol trophy. This tournament has never been won by a Tennessee team, and it is very upsetting that their achievement went unrecognized.

Instead, you made it seem that the only reason Virginia High and John Battle lost to either East or Tennessee High was inexperience. This is not so, both East and THS also have young teams.

Sullivan East’s roster includes only one senior (who is a first-year wrestler) and three juniors with sophomores and freshmen filling the remaining spots with forfeits at the 103 and 112 weight classes. THS also has several freshmen and sophomores in starting spots.
