Jesus Was Dark, Liberal: Why Fear Obama?

Jesus was born Yeshua Ben Yoseph in the town of Bethlehem. Yeshua means salvation or “Lord who is salvation” in Hebrew, while the remainder of his name refers to his lineage from his earthly father.
He was born into a poor Hebrew family from Nazareth, but one that was provided for very well by God through the Wise Men.

Nazareth was near the Gentile cities of Tiberias and Sepphoris on the Sea of Gaililee that lies in southern Israel along the ancient “Via Maris,” which linked Egypt to Mesopotamia. As has been shown by archaeology and linguistic evidence, this region was essentially an eastern extension of Africa due to the interaction of these peoples.

Second, Jesus’ genealogy is stated clearly in the Bible and demonstrates that he was a man of color. First, Matthew 1:2-17 sets out Jesus’ lineage to King David and beyond, which interestingly contains many flawed human beings (sinners like me), but also contains at least four Afro-Asiatic women: Rahab, Tamar, Ruth and Bathsheba. There was also a substantial general Afro-Asiatic influence in Jesus’ DNA as the Hebrew in Jesus genealogy were a subjugated people that spent a hundreds of years in Africa.

Putting aside the sexual exploitation of slaves that we know from the American and Mexican experience, Moses, for example, had a Cushite or Ethiopian wife and Phineas, which in Egyptian means “the Nubian,” was the son of Aaron and the father of a priestly Hebrew line.

Third, Jesus spent his early years in Egypt, where he and his family apparently blended in quite well. Matthew reports the flight of Jesus’ family to Egypt to escape Herod’s infanticide designed to kill Jesus. Thus, Jesus spent his formative years in Africa and was exposed to Egyptian mysticism.

This is confirmed by non-biblical resources, as early Jewish critics of Christianity argued that Jesus learned his magic in Egypt. Matthew also documents that God called his son out of Egypt.

For all these reasons, it is clear that Jesus was a man of color. He was of mixed blood known as Afroasiatic. Like his parents, he was much like the darker Palestinian, Egyptian or Yemenite of today: More chocolate brown than Caucasian in appearance.

What is in a name? Today in America, our names have little meaning other than to identify us. This was and is not so in Middle Eastern cultures.

The name Hussein, which is being used to demagogue Mr. Obama because it was also the shortened name of Saddam Hussein, does not actually have any evil connotation. In Arabic, it means “to be good” or “to be handsome or beautiful.”

So as with most demagoguery, we find that there is no basis in fact for it, nor is there any thing for us Caucasian Americans to fear from the use of this name.

Jesus was crucified because he was a liberal – indeed a radical against the religious and political leaders in Jerusalem. Immediately after his triumphal entry, with the crowd shouting Hosanna (God save us), Jesus proceeded to the temple where he made a whip of cords and drove out the money changers and those selling sacrifices, along with their animals. “You have turned my father’s house into a den of thieves,” Jesus implored.

This was done in full sight of the Roman Garrisons, which were situated on each end of the Temple Square and the Hebrew religious leaders that no doubt had an interest in the commerce.

Jesus, as he had many times before, then called these religious leaders hypocrites to their face because they misused their wealth, power and position to glorify and satisfy themselves rather than to take care of the poor, the widowed and orphaned. Jesus was consistent in his ministry as he often warned of the danger of wealth and possessions and that we are only stewards of God’s blessings.
These are liberal principals, but it does not end there.

Jesus was against the death penalty. He taught that thou shall not kill and that if one is sinless, let him cast the first stone. Jesus changed a murderer named Saul into the most prolific apostle of them all. Peter was the rock upon which God’s church was built, but Paul spread the Gospel further and planted more churches than he. This belief in the goodness and potential of all men is a liberal principal.

Jesus is a peace maker and believed in and taught peace. He said, “Blessed are the peace makers for they shall be called children of God.” He taught that we should love and pray for our enemies and that if anyone should harm us, that we should turn the other cheek.

You see, Jesus knew that love was the most powerful force in the world and that it will conquer in the end. We have seen this proven in our times. Just think about three of the most influential leaders of the last century: Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King and compare their effectiveness to the Arab terrorist.

These were men of color on three separate continents in entirely different cultures who used love and nonviolence in the face of powerful entrenched government leaders and evil and hate to effect remarkable change. They were acting out liberal biblical principals in faith.

I could go on and on from Jesus’ rejection of strict enforcement of religious law to separation of church and state, but I think the point is made. Jesus is a liberal; thank God for his grace.

So, Virginia, please see that you need not fear Mr. Barack Obama because of his color or his liberalism and progressive thinking. He is less liberal than Jesus. Mr. Obama has already told us that he does not want our guns and will enforce the death penalty.

Virginia is the birthplace of freedom through the leadership of our sons, Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson. They were liberals, indeed radicals declared by King George as criminals worthy of hanging.

Patrick Henry cried, “Give me liberty or give me death.” Thomas Jefferson wrote our Declaration of Independence, the most liberal document of declared rights of its time.

We must realize Martin Luther King’s dream. We must show the world that the truth and peace still matter to the citizens of these United States and that we have progressed past petty prejudices.

Do not listen to the demagoguery of this vision-filled man. I think it not a coincidence that Mr. Barack Obama, a Christian and a man of mixed black and white blood, has risen up to us as he has with such a strong belief that we can come together.

We must do this. We must realize the dream. We will be better for it.

Think about the results of a couple of laws in the USA.
The three strikes and your out law forces people who have problem and problems with the abiding by the law to move to other states where they won’t face life time jail for another mistake.
In some state Judges put kids in jail for even small amounts of a Illegal Drugs. While other get lite sentences or have enough money to fight the system so the system lets them go with a slap on the wrist.
Now take Abortion. Roe V Wade allows women, mostly young girls, to decide if they are willing, able or ready to be a mother. Who does this effect? The woman or young girl, their family, the male, who is also affected,His family, the medical community, and don’t forget the baby.
Who would a ban on abortions affect?
The wealthy will foy off somewhere and get good medical care. The less wealthy will travel across the border and get good medical care.
The poorest American Women however will be forced to have babies they don’t want or are handicapped, malformed, or in need to 24/7 medical care.
Now these children are born and many will go to foster homes evenually nut thousands remain in foster homes now who are not adopted already. Thousands more children born will only survive a few weeks or months if that.
Thousands more will be hospitalized at extreme expense to the Health Care system.
This does not include the damage to the womens or young girls lives in losing a child or having to bury one.
So you tell me what is exactly the best way for society to deal with this.
Are the Majority people who support Anti-Abortion laws Adopting a lot of kids?
NO !!!!!
Are the Majority of people who support right to life laws being foster parents?
NO !!!!!!!
So where are your ethic’s and morals if you support something but will not follow through with action to show that the laws you support and their effect on society would work and do little harm?
Where are the big investment funds setup to pay for the longterm or short term medical bills of these children the mother will be forced to birth??
Christians can spend million on millions spreading their religious views around the world why can’t they support the very laws they want past here before carrying thier dogma to poorer countries.
Dogma yes I said it because half measures and half truths you use to get support to me repersent an evil nature of people with an agenda that is unrelated to the things they repersent!!!

I want to commend RedState CKA on his response and add an amen.  For the sake of being repetetive, I would only want to add just a couple things for Mr. Conway.  You have broken the most serious of the ten commandments: Thou shall have no other God’s before me.  You, sir, have commited blasphemy in the strongest way that I have ever witnessed and I am 56 years old and have seen a lot.  Your soul is in dire straits.  I only pray that the ONE TRUE GOD will give you a repentant heart and that you will confess before man and God of your sin.  (This forum where you commited the sin would really be the only appropiate place to do that.) You have created a giant stumbling block for many people, and here is the place they read your blasphemy and they will be watching…so please do the right thing and try to restore the truth to them.  I thank God for revealing Himself to me that I cannot be misled by a worker of Satan himself. My sister attends Highlands Fellowship and I have already talked with her.  I am trying to speak with Pastor Jimmy now.  I care about your soul.  Your friend, Mike Graham

B.I.Conway is right on target.

Regarding the other comments, it is a shame that there are so many hateful, backward, primitive, bible-thumping cultists wandering around the Appalachians, calling themselves “Christians.“

They love to condemn others and hurl their interpretation of the “word of God” at anyone who does not fit their own belief pattern.  No wonder the KKK does so well in recruiting from this group.

I question how anyone could possibly determine the color of Jesus’s skin, but more importantly, why would anyone want to?  One thing for sure, a lot of extrapolation went into this essay.  Author might want to further extrapolate how Jesus felt about abortion as we are quite clear how Obama feels.  We even know what he would do to babies who survive abortion.  As for invoking Martin Luther King, suthor might want to read about MLK first.  King did not support affirmative action and, were he alive, would be appalled with the effects of the Democrats’ “War on Poverty”.

Do any of the Right Wing retards have a problem with the way that vermin like David Davis dragged Jesus through the mud during his first campaign.
Just to hear one of you say something un-hypocritical would be really cool.

The GOP exploited Christianity to help put President monkey Boy in office and have not stopped since.

You people sound like the Taliban. “We belong to Jesus! But it’s ok to bomb innocent people”. “We believe in Jesus! But won’t help the poor”.

You believe in Jesus as long as it’s on your terms.

Jesus was the greatest Liberal Dissident in world history. Now repent of your un-Christian Conservative ways before it’s too late!

Oh, and when you get raptured the next time, can I have your car?

Respectfully, as a Christian, I suggest that B.L. Conway stick to the law, should he still practice it.

As for his politicizing Jesus the Christ, well, if he knows anything about the Gospel, then he knows he will have to answer for however he perverts it. And with this editorial, he has done just that. And it is repulsive.

With this, he is on dangerous spiritual ground – and that has nothing to do with his suggestion of the color of Jesus’ skin. Of course, from the Middle East, the Messiah likely was dark-skinned, swarthy. But, dear God, what darkness of heart and soul – deception, yes, though—would bring the Messiah’s skin color into this presidential-election cycle? Respectfully, who but a contemporary political liberal or a racial separatist would care?

I say that because I have belonged to assemblies of Christians, denominational and non-denominational – and in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South and Midwest – in which I have seen brothers and sisters in Christ of various skin colors and even accents to their earthly tongues, but no one – I repeat: on one – cared. And that’s because we were and remain united to Him Who Is No Respecter of Persons, which means He, Jesus, doesn’t care and differentiate, because His love extends to all. So why, pray tell, should a so-called Christian such as Conway make such a case?

I suggest that Conway get on his knees and seek a truer, clearer, life-changing revelation about the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, including Jesus the Christ, that is neither Democrat nor Republican, liberal or conservative, etc.. He might even consider repentance for such politicization as he’s presented and then asking the Lord God for forgiveness.

Conway certainly may vote any way he wishes. But he’d best be very cautious on how he appears to be slanting the Word of God for his own and others’ personal political purposes. Not that that’s not predicted, generally, in the Bible. And now that he’s launched this, like gossip, he cannot recall all the feathers that have blown to the wind. Thus, he may well have led some astray by his foolishness and deception.

And, BTW: Barack Obama, or whatever his real name might be, may be a Christian in Conway’s book. But in mine and LOTS of other Christians I know, and even non-Christians, he is at best a CINO, Christian in name only, based solely on his inexplicable championing of infanticide.
Searching the Highlands Fellowship Web site, if this is the one that has four locations in the Tri-Cities area of Virginia and Tennessee, and find this: “The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error. 11 Timothy 3:16; 11 Peter 1:20, 21; 11 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160; Psalm 12:6; Proverbs 30:5.“

Are these just words on paper? Conway, who serves in the information ministry at that fellowship, and those Christians who may support similar views cannot find, will not find and have not found support in the Holy Bible for the killing of humanity’s most vulnerable, the unborn or just-born. So I must conclude that, in practice, Conway, at least, does not consider God’s Word to be “truth without any mixture of error.”

And further regarding Obama’s championing of infanticide, through extension of the disproportionate negative impact on the black community—for every two black babies born in the U.S., another one is aborted – Obama supports ethnic cleansing or genocide of that community. This, too, cannot be reconciled with the Word of God.

Add to that that Obama’s on record—and I do not think that he’s refuted this—as saying that there are many paths to God. That is Christian heresy. Yahshua HaMaschiach Himself said that He—and He alone—is the way to God the Father.

Obama’s also on record as questioning whether there is even hell. While that may not be an attractive teaching in many so-called Christian churches these days, if there is no consequence to sin and rejection of the Messiah – that is, death and eternal separation from God – then why chose the Messiah in the first place?

I do not know what kind of other misinformation that the Highlands Fellowship distributes, but this is one that it may having its author identify himself with Highlands.

But whether it’s under the auspices of that place or not, Conway sought to publicize his affiliation with that fellowship. To give credence to his misguided opinion, I’m sure. But did he consider the embarrassment to that fellowship and to Christ Jesus? Or those lost souls who may be deceived? Or those who see the absurdity of Conway’s opinion and move further from getting back to God.

As a mildly “dark” conservative, I could not pass up responding to this commentary.
Does anyone feel the weirdness from typical Obama supporters? Is it a new and bizarre disease(babykillinggaymarriagebadeconomyno policynoexprience hollowpromiseraisemytaxesIamyoursaviouritis?) that destroys the area of the brain responsible for good judgement? Is it mass hypnosis? Is it not high strangeness to even compare this man(yes he is only a man, not a messiah) to our Lord and Savior?
I don’t think the “prince of darkness and unspecified change” should even appear on the same line of text with Jesus Christ. Much less a comparison???? WOW!!
McCain is not a good choice either(to be fair) but as far as I know, no one is comparing him to anyone Biblical except for maybe Methusala.

So many people do not even know history and will not read or study history. Of you refuse to do that your counting on someone elses version of history to be correct.
For instance there was not any slavery in the 13 colonys until some Jewish groups came over from Eroupe. At one time Jews were forbidden from operating certian types of businesses like banking. Some Jews opened Brewreys and made rum mostly. They even tried to kidnap and sell American Indians as slaves records show but that did not work out. Soon some bought ships that they would send to Africa with loads of rum to trade for the black slaves. Their Capitans mostly Eroupean would have gone anywhere else and traded for anything else as the owner ordered. But letters show the Jewish owners reconized the need for cheap labor in the now world. Records such as ship loggs, bills of laiding, and business letters still exist in the Carnegie Museum of Natural History showing the ships from Boston that carried rum to trade for slaves the owners name even with the word Jew beside the owners names. Showing exactly how many barrels of rum each slave was worth some owners had 10 or more ships.
The Captains stopped on the return trip at all the places to sell Slave like St. Augustine, South Carloina. He recorded each sale and deaths either natural or at the hands of the crew. This was a horrible tradeand eventually other entered the trade for profit too.
But the Jews keep this secret and in our History books it is only shown that Whitemen were the slave traders. When it’s orginal source comes from the Jews who came from several different Eroupean Countries but had oirginally came from the middle east and still carried the darker skin of middle eastern citizens.
My point is that some research shows that a few Jewish Organations make an effort to maintain the divide between whites and blacks even today, while keeping their involuvement in American History quite and making that part of our nations history seems between only Eroupean whites and blacks.
You can only lose your Freedoms if your remain dependent on others for information, reason, and justice. You must know where you stand as a person and why to be a whole person. So celberate your Freedoms and educate yourself.
I am not writing this with any racism or hatred in my heart but only to show people that by not educating yourself you will have to rely on other sources for your beliefs and you could be easily mislead.

No one is afraid of Obama because of his skin color. It’s his qualifications that is lacking. It’s also his past actions that set him back. Comparing him to Jesus is simply an insult to those of us who believe in a supreme being. It’s too bad the this great United States can’t come up with a better choice for President than the ones we have to choose from in this election. I’m going to vote for McCain because of Obama. McCain is the lesser of two evils.
