STUDENT OF THE WEEK: Cody Hahn

Cody Hahn is this week’s student of the week. Cody is an 8th grader at E.B. Stanley Middle School in Abingdon, Virginia. He’s gets mostly A’s and that’s something he and his family are very proud of.
Grades come first for Cody, but playing baseball is also an important part of his life. He pitches for the Abingdon High School Junior Varsity team.
“I just work hard at it everyday, every practice, every game and just work hard,“ said Hahn.
Cody is confident that his baseball career will take him a long way. No matter what kind of success Cody has in his life, he gives the credit to his family, specifically his mom.
“That’s what keeps me going everyday and that’s who pushes me and everything and she’s the one who makes me want to strive and do good,“ Hahn said.
All of Cody’s hard work at school has paid off and earned him student of the week honors.
“I’m glad that I got picked, and I guess that means that I’m doing a good job in school and everything, so I’m pleased,“ said Hahn.
