BRISTOL, Tenn. – High school juniors and seniors who want to experience King College campus life are invited to receive the royal treatment on Monday, Sept. 7, at the College’s “King for a Day” event. The event offers students and their families the opportunity to talk with King representatives about financial aid, the admissions process, student life, degree programs, and more.

“Have you ever listened to someone describe an amazing experience, and heard, ‘You just need to see it for yourself!’? The atmosphere and personality of a campus play an enormous part in a college search, and you can only experience them if you visit campus,” said Greg King, director of undergraduate recruitment.  “This event allows students and families to experience the academic foundations of King, the support they will receive from our faculty and staff, and the welcoming nature of the KC community. On this day, you can begin to see all that is King College.”

Registration will open from 8 a.m. – 8:50 a.m., and scheduled activities will begin at 9 a.m. Participants will break into separate student and parent information sessions on academics, student life, and campus safety, as well as Q & A panels with current King College students. Throughout the day, participants will interact with faculty, staff, and current students. Representatives will also be present to offer guidance on the admissions and financial aid process.

The day includes lunch in the King College dining hall and campus tours. Activities will conclude at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Students interested in attending “King for a Day” should contact the admissions office at 800.362.0014 or kingforaday.king.edu to register.

You heard the one about the farmer, the baby bird, and the fox ?

Farmer came on a baby bird on a cold morning and he picked it up made a hole in a fresh cow pie with a stick and placed the little bird in it to keep it warm.
After a while the little bird got warm and began to sing loudly which attracked a fox who came along and ate him.

Now was the farmer feeding the Fox ?
Or was the farmer trying to help the bird ?

I say help the bird.

Much like the V.A. book trys to give the men and women trying to deal with PTSD reconnect with society after all the horror they have seen. I have been dealing with PTSD over 30 years and just to keep going day after day is often very hard if you see your own countrymen at each others throat 24/7 over money. When their real enemy is the Central Banking System. I make lots of mistakes but how you learn.

Like the mistake I made with assuming I knew all about this college visit because they did use my sons class time to visit ETSU and I objected there too. If they want to do my kid any favors give him more math class time and less wasted time.

Just for the record,if you weren’t aware. September 7th, schools are closed for labor day, therefore, students will not be missing any studies. Also, i attended this last year, there were no buses involved.
You drive your own car or with your family so please, in the future, get the facts before you start criticising.

Ok, where is the Personal Responsibility people here ?

The Childrens time away from their studies, cost of the buses and Teachers to tour a college is not what the taxpayer are funding public education for now is it ?

If the college needs to recruit more students then do it on your own dime, advertize or lower your prices and provide better classes !
