Daniel Boone High School Technology Student Association (TSA) members William Bledsoe, Landon Harwell, and Mark Seeger attended the TSA National Conference in Denver, Co. from June 28 until July 2. The conference was attended by over 3200 TSA members from across the United States, as well as a chapter representing Germany.
William Bledsoe won first place in the Music Production event, in which he was required to compose an “energizing, interesting selection capturing the spirit of TSA”. The selection will be used by National TSA in the coming year to open and close conference general sessions.
Landon Harwell placed 9th in the Video Game Challenge, in which he was required to create an original video game. Harwell and Mark Seeger also entered an Engineering Design project in which they designed and built a portable incinerator. This entry placed first at the Tennessee State Conference in April.
Each TSA event requires students to provide extensive documentation as to the development and design process relevant to the particular entry. Many events also require an interview process before a panel of judges. For more information about TSA please visit http://www.tsaweb.org.
