A Johnson City woman has died after the sport utility vehicle she rode in plunged into Boone Lake.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 34-year-old Brandy Lokey died after her boyfriend Neil Edward Moore, who was driving, turned to
talk to her as she rode in the back seat early Sunday.

Moore was found on the other side of a bridge and another passenger, Sidney Medina, was found standing on the roof of the SUV
in the lake.

Moore was in fair condition at the Johnson City Medical Center on Monday and Medina had been released after being kept Sunday night for observation.

Police said charges were pending.
