It all depends on where you are today.

In the southern and western sections of the News Channel 11 viewing area, very little if any snow is on the ground this morning.

But in the mountain counties of Northeast Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and Southwest Virginia, snow totals range from 3 inches to almost a foot.

Here’s a quick glance at road and weather reports from around the Tri-Cities Region just before 5 a.m. Monday.

Greene County - scattered flurries

Sullivan County -  light snow in the central and western sections
only bad on the eastern end
Hwy 421 bad around South Holston Lake and into Shady Valley

Johnson County, TN - 3 or 4 inches in Mountain City, more in higher elevations

Bristol - light dusting

Avery County, NC - 6 plus inches, drifts up to 2 feet, hazardous roads

Watauga County - 8-9 inches of snow, roads treacherous in Boone

Smyth County, VA - patchy ice and snow on roads

I-26 over Sam’s Gap into North Carolina - road open but snow and ice patches remain
