Jonesborough, Tenn.—Criminal Court Judge Lynn Brown will choose jurors from outside Washington County when Howard Hawk Willis’ double-murder trial begins next month. Brown said he will not reveal the county jurors will be drawn from until July 10th—the day jury selection is scheduled to begin.
Willis returned to Jonesborough for another motions hearing Tuesday.
Last month, Willis said he recorded a phone call from jail, and that recording proved he was innocent.
A Washington County jailer told the court that phone call does not exist.
Willis said he would file additional appeals.
