The trial of accused double-murderer Howard Hawk Willis has been delayed yet again.
The Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals has now ordered a stay of trial for the first-degree murder case.
Willis’ trial was set to start in just over a week but last month, he filed an appeal in this case saying he could not represent himself.
In an order filed with the Washington County District Attorney’s Office, the Court of Appeals said it is necessary to review Willis’ claim in order to prevent needless and expensive future appeals.
The continuation of Willis’ trial now depends on the outcome of this appeal.
The man faces the death penalty if convicted of killing teenagers Adam Chrismer and Samantha Leming in Johnson City in October 2002.

Glad to see others thinking the same as I. Now just heard on the news that its delayed again. Also they told how much “tax payer” money has already been spent on this trial. Someone is making some money off of him. TN stand up and take a stand.

The victims families need peace with this.

Should have known something like this would happen, after all the attorneys he’s had, then this.I thought this only went on in Bradley County, looks like I was wrong.I have never heard of a murder getting so much justice. He has already gotten more than us victims family, when are we suppose to see justice served. Our loved ones didn’t get all of this, they didn’t get a choice when he murdered them.God,I just pray for the Justice System,do something with this man.I have been dealing with this for 21 years.

This is a big waste of the tax payer’s money !!! This guy is making a mockery of our justice system. He needs to go on to prison where he will rot for the rest of his life,or get the death penalty.where he will still rot for the rest of his life before the state gets a chance to execute him !!!

This is crazy. This trial should NOT be delayed again. Look at the times he has been given a break and delayed his trial. I’m sure the taxpayers don’t appreciate supporting him while he sits in jail receiving 3 hot meals a day and hard to tell whatever else he is receiving. Its just sad to see how a judicial system can be manipulated by this man.
DON’T delay MOVE on and get this over.

The families of the victims need to have some peace.

Hasn’t this murderer used(wasted) enough of our tax money?  We are ALL being punished via our tax dollars!

Are you kidding me?  How many more delays can this one case have?  It has been 6 years and still nothing.  Unreal.
