Rep. Boucher says he hasn’t decided how he will vote on the five bills in Congress, and he doesn’t think the so-called “public option” is necessarily the right way to go. He’s drawn toward the newly discussed member owned cooperatives.

Abingdon, Va.—More than a thousand people packed the hall at the Higher Education Center in Abingdon Thursday morning, for a health care reform town hall meeting.
Some applause, but a chorus of boos welcomed Virginia’s Ninth District Congressman, Democrat Rick Boucher.
Groups from unions, and individuals listened to Rep. Boucher, and then representatives from local health care organizations speak about current health care options.
Boucher says he hasn’t decided how he will vote on the five awaiting bills in Congress, but that he isn’t convinced the so-called “public option” is the way.
He does think reform is necessary for millions of uninsured Americans, because now, the public pays for those uninsured patients.
“My sense is that it’d be more economically feasible for us to find a direct solution for everyone to have access to health insurance then to continue to bear these very high costs indirectly,“ said Rep. Boucher.
Perhaps the biggest concerns voiced by voters at the town hall is the prospect of a government take-over of health care, and the future debt for America.
Boucher hosted another meeting drawing crowds like the one today, earlier this week in Dublin, Va.

A lot of people don’t have to be paid to lie, they just can’t help themselves.
Not saying this person is a lier, I’m not, but if you read back through the back and forth exchanges this person and I had you can plainly see some inconsistances in the statements this person made. One tell-tell sign is avoiding a direct question by asking a question that isn’t relevant.
Come to thing of it isn’t that what many politicians do when ask a specific question. They never say just “yes I do” or “no I don’t” they prefer to say, “let me answer that by saying this”.

kdr1 “ First of all, i am not a liar. But that is a liberal tactic used to draw attention away from the subject at hand.  If you will notice i leave the personal attacks out.“

Next? kdr1 said he’s not a lier and I sort of believe that because he told me so, If he was being truthful with me. On Aug. 28th. I said either he was telling a lie or couldn’t backup what he said, meaning he didn’t know what he was talking about. His response was he wasn’t a lier, so I guess from that he just doesn’t know what he is talking about.

Are personal attacks all you have? You never gave any specific answer to anything. Same liberal tactic, no facts just personally attack the opposition.

Ever wonder who is paying for all the lies and fear mongering about health care reform?  Lots of the $$$ are coming from a group calling itself “Conservatives for Patient’s Rights:“

Now that you know about them, have you ever heard of their top honcho, Rick Scott?

“... Scott previously started a for-profit hospital chain in 1987 that later became the $23 billion Columbia/HCA. He was ousted from this post in 1997 after:

the FBI swooped down on HCA hospitals in five states. Within weeks, three executives were indicted on charges of Medicare fraud, and the board had ousted Scott.

The investigation revealed that the hospital chain had been bilking Medicare while simultaneously handing over kickbacks and perks to physicians who steered patients to its hospitals.

... The company did not fight the charges. In 2000, HCA (which by then had expunged “Columbia” from its name) pleaded guilty to no fewer than 14 felonies. Over the next two years, it would pay a total of $1.7 billion in criminal and civil fines.[2]

Will the Republicans stop at nothing to block health care reform?  This is pathetic.

What is even more pathetic is that some frightened people will actually believe this Republican B***S***

Of course, that is what the party has been planning all along:  lies to stoke the fear and panic of the elderly and the less fortunate.

“BTW, I have never heard of anyone being dropped from Medicare, regardless of their health history”

When Obama bankrupts the country, then you will see it.

BTW, I have never heard of anyone being dropped from Medicare, regardless of their health history.
