Unicoi County sheriff’s department gave a few of its officers a car seat crash course covering proper installation, height and weight requirements. Sheriff Harris says Unicoi County can provide car seats to needy parents in the community.

Unicoi County deputies say, every parent knows what a car seat is, but some of them forget how important the life-saving devices can be. Authorities want to help change that.
Over the weekend, the Unicoi County sheriff’s department gave a few of its officers a car seat crash course covering proper installation, height and weight requirements.
Their reward—free car seats from the state of Tennessee. 
The trainees say, if they pull a car over and find a sub-standard car seat they can install a brand new model in its place.
Sheriff Harris says Unicoi County can provide car seats to needy parents in the community.
