Bristol Virginia Police Department
Nov. 7
* A woman was overheard screaming for help during what sounded like a domestic fight in the alley behind Lawrence Avenue at 6:30 p.m.
* Police are providing extra patrols on Bellehaven Drive after a resident reported reckless drivers in the neighborhood.
Nov. 8
* A caller reported a man standing at the gas station next to the Valley Drive little league field, “staring at a house across the street and just being generally creepy” at 4:48 a.m. Police found the dark-haired young man running by the ball field, then lost him as he took off through lawns on Old Abingdon Highway. Three minutes later he was “spotted on Sherwood, still running.”
* An Oakview Avenue caller “needs advice on out-of-control 15-year-old son.”
* While standing on the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and State Street, a man was “acting like his hand is a gun, [and] aiming it at passers-by” at 1:15 p.m.

n Police are looking for a light blue car that resembles either a Chevy Caprice or Crown Victoria, that has been spotted lurking in the 400 block of Barker Lane and Hill Drive. They’d like to catch up with the driver to ask why he’s been in the neighborhood “over and over again, looking into certain houses, especially houses with children.”

Bristol Tennessee Police Department
Nov. 4
* While police were standing in a Carson Court living room, the resident opened the drawer of an end table containing rolling papers. The officers, there to follow-up on an assault earlier in the day, asked for permission to search the residence, which they were granted. They found 16 unknown white pills, a green hydrocodone pill in a white allergy medication bottle, a glass plate with white powder residue, a metal straw, one pack of rolling papers, a hemostat and a “clear plastic bag with what appeared to be marijuana seeds in it.” The woman was cited for simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
* A few houses down on Carson Court, a man driving a big green truck parked behind another car, blocking it in. When the driver of the blocked-in car asked him not to park there, the truck’s driver “came towards him in an aggressive manner.” That’s when man number one told man number two to stop or he would pepper spray him. The truck-driving man kept coming, so the other guy did, indeed, pepper spray him. Then the pepper-sprayed man got back into his truck, now with a passenger, and drove away.

Editor’s note: The Bristol Blotter is a sampling of activity from the logs and reports of the two city police departments.
