Bristol Tennessee
Police Department

Sept. 19
* An 11:13 p.m. call about three drunk men took police to the Tadlock Road section of the King College campus. Campus security pointed police to three underage men, each one intoxicated. All three were charged with underage consumption.

Sept. 20
* At first, the woman called to complain about receiving harassing phone calls from her husband’s girlfriend. She called again later, this time complaining that she had received harassing calls from her sister-in-law. Legal remedies were given.
* An officer clocked a northbound car zooming at 55 mph – 20 mph over the speek limit – along Volunteer Parkway at 3:05 a.m. The officer pulled the car over at 1241 Volunteer Parkway and arrested and charged the driver with driving under the influence and speeding.
* A landlord complained to police that a tenant had damaged the outside of a mobile home at the 1900 block of Volunteer Parkway. The tenant had to go, the landlord said. However, the tenant told officers that he had the landlord’s permission to fix up the mobile home and make it livable. A lot of money had gone into repairs, the tenant said. Officers advised both landlord and tenant that their woes were not a criminal issue. Only a civil court could resolve the problem, officers said.

#3 - 55 mph on Volunteer Parkway?  He should have been arrested for impeding traffic by going so slow.

#4 - Making improvements to a mobile home is like putting makeup on a pig.  Sure, it makes it prettier, but to what purpose?
