Tennessee August Unemployment Rates

In August, Tennessee had its highest unemployment rate since November 1983.  It was 10.8% and that’s up from 10.7% in July.

In August 2008, Tennessee’s unemployment rate was 6.6%.

The national unemployment rate for August, 2009 was 9.7% and that’s up from the July rate of 9.4%.
