An unusual accident happened over the weekend in Russell County, Virginia, claiming the life of a six year old boy.

According to a trooper with the Virginia State Police, a six-year-old boy took the wheel of a pickup truck at his father’s home off of miller creek road in the Swords Creek area of Russell County. His passenger was another six-year-old boy.

The driver apparently veered off of a gravel road, flipped the truck and lost control of the truck, flipping it several times down a 75-foot ravine.

The passenger was partially ejected from the truck and died as a result of injuries. The other boy, the driver, was transported to the hospital and showed no signs of major injuries.

This incident, and the father of the driver, Danny Arnold Casey, is under investigation by the Virginia State Police and charges are pending.
