I’m a cousin of Jason’s, and I’d like to extend my deepest apologies for this needless tragedy.  Connie, Jennifer, James, I’m truly sorry this happened.  I know that there’s nothing I can say or do that’s going to make the pain of this go away, but if there’s anything we, the rest of my family can do for you and yours, please, don’t hesitate to let us know.

My heart goes out to the Brown family, and will be kept in our prayers. Me and my family use to live about 200 yards up from the Brown family and they was wonderful people.I use to stay with Jennifer and we would catch the school bus together. The Browns was always having a cookout and inviting people to come. Jennifer was a really good person and was trying to provide for her 2 kids. Connie and James was also very loving people. I am very shock that this happen to some wonderful loving people. They took Jason in when he was younger and treated him like one of their own. We use to all play together and I can not imagine Jason Betts repay them back this way. It totally blowed my mind and now he needs to be punished.
James God has welcomed you into his kingdom and you will no longer suffer, you will be missed dearly. Our toughts and prayers are out for the Brown family and hope they have a good recover. As for Jennifer’s new boyfriend, I did not know him that well but you are still in our prayers. We will all be praying for the whole family to get through this hard time and always remember God is their by your alls side. Zak and the babies will be in our prayers.
I hope Jason betts is caught very soon before another tragic happens, he needs to be punished for what he has done to this loving family.
God Bless you all!!

My husband and I know Jennifer, and her mom and dad James and Connie well, they usually came out to our house on the 4th of July for bar-b-Q’s. Jennifer is a very meek and humble young lady that was trying to make her life better for herself and her children by attending classes at the college and usually working as well. She did not deserve this, neither did James, Connie or Zak. They were always good to everyone they knew. I am sure that they did the same for Jayson too. I don’t know Jayson. I don’t know why he would do such a thing. You can never take it back, and Jennifer will never have her dad again. I will pray for all of them. They need all the prayers we can give them.

Dear Lord,

Please give them the strength to make it through these terrible times, and help the police find Jayson before her hurts someone again. May God help the doctors heal their wounds and may God heal their spirits and souls. Take James Brown into your arms and accept him in your kingdom. Let our love and prayers be felt by Jennifer, James, Connie and Zak and keep them in your watch.
AMEN.

We ask that each of you reading this KEEP this family in your prayers and ask God for them to heal both physically and mentally.

My heart is broken to know that Jason has done something this awful to a family who took him in when he was just a young boy and treated him as if he was their own.

Connie and James are very humble loving people. They never bothered anyone. Connie always had a smile for everyone.
Jennifer is a beautiful girl and a good person.
This family and all friends involved did not deserve this.
So many people on that mountain are feeling a terrible loss for James.
Please start prayer circles for this family and all the friends.
Prayer is very important. I have known Jason since he was in grade school and have also kept him and his brother and sister myself when they was younger.
His sister was my daughters best friend. And she is like a daughter to me.
This situation touches so many in so many ways.
The Brown family will never be the same again and neither will anyone of us that know and love them.
I am devastated at what he has done to the family and the whole community.
And I pray he is caught soon and brought to justice.

I send prayers up that God send down his best angels to guide the hands of the doctors as they work to save the lives of Jennifer, Connie, and James.
And that God may send some peace into this dark storm for all involved.

The people on the mountain are my family and I love them dearly, they open their hearts and homes to others in need. And this is how Jason repays them.
Jason I pray for your soul!

God Bless all of you
Sunshyne

I worked with PJ(James) at American Furniture,1986-89,he was a fine fella.
I grew up less than 2 miles from Connie’s homeplace.
Both fine folks.
I hope Betts is found before he hurts anyone else, resists arrest and the cops get to shoot him, fatally!
