Kingsport, Tenn.—The Santa train made its final Saturday stop in Kingsport, and as expected, the guy in the big red suit was right on time.
Event emcees Morgan King and Amy Lynn (of the show Daytime TriCities) warmed up the crowd, as runners, dog-walkers, and spectators made their way down Main Street.
The train rolled in just after 3 p.m., with two special guests on board—Santa and country music icon Wynonna Judd. Judd is a native of Ashland Ky.
“I honestly wish sometimes we could go back to Appalachia, because {my family was} together. So, if you have family, appreciate it.“
Thousands of people gathered near the stage, as Santa, Judd, King, Lynn, and other volunteers tossed gifts into the crowd.
The parade kicked off a few minutes later. Local veterans, high school bands, and several floats rolled through downtown Kingsport.
