UPDATE at 6:15 a.m.:
Virginia State Police say most of the rocks have been cleared off U.S. Highway 460 East in Tazewell County.
But the clean-up of spilled diesel fuel from a truck that hit the rocks continues to keep the eastbound side of Hwy. 460 closed. Traffic is being re-routed in the area.

Here’s the first story:
A massive rock slide has shut down a busy Southwest Virginia highway, Virginia State Police said.
Just after 4 a.m., a truck driver rounded a corner and came upon the slide in Tazewell County, Virginia just outside the town limits of Cedar Bluff.
The slide has forced the closure of eastbound U.S. 460 between Jones Chapel Road and the 2nd Cedar Bluff exit.
For now, the westbound side is still open to drivers.
Another problem: the truck that came upon the wreck. Virginia State Police said the driver couldn’t stop in time, so the truck crashed into the rocks rupturing its fuel tank.
According to VSP, approximately 200 gallons of diesel fuel spilled, so crews will be conducting a clean up of that in addition to the rocks.
