UPDATE: Tri-Cities Red Cross Volunteers Prepare To Help With Gustav

    In preparation for Tropical Storm Gustav, the Kingsport Chapter of The American Red Cross has deployed its emergency response vehicle to the Gulf Coast.
      The local chapter was asked to send their vehicle as a pre-staging measure in case the storm hits the U.S.
      The truck left Wednesday afternoon for Hattiesburg Mississippi where volunteers will wait the storm out.
      The volunteers will then assist local charities in getting food and aid out to those in need.
