As District Governor of Lions Clubs International District 24-F I wish to call attention, especially to the media, that VA lions Club members give up their vacation time to come to the event. In the past the Media has only reporter on the “Sisters” amd Brock. I hope in the future Lions receive the credit they deserve. These Volunteers
include health professionals from around the country, and particularly Virginia Lions, flock to the fairgrounds to provide free dental, eye and basic medical services to all comers.
Last year, more than 1,200 volunteers - roughly 900 of them physicians, dentists, nurses and other health care professionals, with the other 300 being Lions who were there to help the professions,do registrations, prepare food and many other task.
Thank You, Bill Hall, District Governor 24-F

As a former health care giver, I am shocked and saddened to see what health care has become in America.  I know from experience what is called quality health care in TN & VA, clearly profit care is more important than patient care despite what is being sold by the health care system.  If we have the best health care in the world, why do people have to line up at 6 in the morning and stand in the heat all day for care?  When the health care industry can spend 1.4 million of your dollars to lobby congress and the senate per day something is wrong.  How many more innocent people will be diseased or die because of the greedy, filthy status quo ?

I totally agree..Stan Brock has proven that one man…without an ounce of selfishness, can make a difference. I don’t have much, but I donate a little each month to RAM and consider it money well spent. God Bless you,Stan..and all of the volunteers who work with you!

These clinics are a blessing to those needing medical attention who couldn’t afford it otherwise.  I think all those who are opposed to health care reform should volunteer a day or two.  Doesn’t this clinic sound similar to the ones in like Central America?
