A man was stabbed to death at a post-prom-party over weekend.

Even though there were at least 30 other party-goers there, no one can tell the Watauga County, North Carolina Sheriff’s Office what happened.
Deputies found the murder weapon and arrested 23-year-old Samuel King.

Investigators say King and the victim Benjamin Pickett, 19, were acquaintances.

Party-goers told News Channel 11 they asked King to leave.

King reportedly got mad and slashed their tires, but no one saw how Pickett was stabbed.

Neither Pickett nor King had been to the Watauga County High School Prom. They were just at the after party.

Two other men were arrested at the party.

Ian Ellis, 18, and Colin Stephen Ellis, 23, are brothers who live at the home where the party was held.

They are charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile because there was alcohol at the party.
