One Dead After Single-Car Crash In Church Hill

Church Hill, Tenn.—One man died from injuries sustained during a single-car crash along Payne Ridge Road.

Dispatchers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said Wesley Mabe, 22, was driving at a high rate of speed, reached a small curve, ran off the right side of Payne Ridge Road, and over-corrected. That sent his vehicle on its side, it crossed both lanes of traffic, hit a tree, a fence, and a second tree.

Dispatchers received the call at 6:10 p.m. Friday.

Emergency workers transported Mabe to a local hospital. He died Saturday.
