Hey, I was just saying that Five Guys is a good place to eat. I cook dinner at home everynight.  I also happen to brown bag for lunch most days unless I have a business meeting at work. I cook at Christmas and Thanksgiving. As a general rule we don’t eat out a lot for the simple fact that I agree healthier meals are prepared at home.  Not to mention it allows more family time for us and we each enjoy that.  However if you read my comment we were on vacation. I feel like I am defending myself for saying that I have eaten there and it was good.

Geez, some of you all are so snippy and judgmental. If they want to eat out, LET THEM!!!

If you want a truly fresh hamburger, I can give you a recipe.
Drive to the local grocery store, pick up a couple pounds of 93% lean beef, and venture into the produce department where you can select from a multitude of fresh produce and have any topping you want. Grab a pack of buns and you’re off. Freshest burger you will ever eat. And it will cost a third of what you paid someone else to make it for you.

Wow, bitter much? I brown-bag it every day, but some people don’t. More power to ‘em!

Five Guys have the best hamburgers because they are fresh and you can choose your own toppings.  I had my first five guys hamburger in Maryland and it was delicious.  I would like to see a Popeye’s Chicken in this area.  I love spicy chicken and other chicken restaurants, who advertise spicy chicken, need to kick it up a notch.

I am glad that Bristol TN isn’t overcrowded with resturaunts. We will leave them all at exit 7. We have plenty of resturaunts here in Bristol. Why would we want more? People need to stay at home and cook more anyway, it is healthier. So many people never sit around the dinner table and talk while they enjoy dinner anymore. We all need to get back to basics, we are a spoiled nation that is why were are in the financial situation we are in now. People even eat out for Thanksgiving and Christmas…because it takes away the hassle of cooking. To me, the preparation is part of the wonderment. Those are some of the best hours I spend with my family. Everyone gathered up in the kitchen with a job to do and having wonderful conversation while you do it, then after it’s all said and done, everyone helps with cleanup and then sits around talking some more while you try to work off some of the misery becaues you have eaten so much. I can’t wait til Thanksgiving to spend hours in the kitchen with MY family….not an hour in a resturaunt eating a mediocre at best turkey and dressing “meal” and then everyone scattering.

It is a wonderful change from the frozen fast food burgers that you get from the local joints around here.  My family and I enjoy eating there when we visit Charleston. Try it and you will really like it.  To bad that Bristol TN can’t get anything to locate here.

My husband and I are so excited about Five Guys coming!  It’s always a treat to eat there when we go out of town.  I think it’s the first restaurant I’ve been to where everyone working is happy to be there.  Plus, it gives more job opportunity to high schoolers (who can’t just walk right into a law office or any other professional career to work part-time), or anyone else looking for a fun job to work at.  Thanks Kingsport!
