Most likely he was buying pseudoephedrine found in certain allergy medications (e.g. ClaritinD). These substances are controlled and one must sign for them upon over the counter purchase. They are not benign—they are a known precursor for the manufacturing of meth and it is illegal to buy in quantity. He probably shopped around different pharmacies with the intent to manufacture meth. Because of idiots like him, I can only buy my ClaritinD in a 10-day supply when I need it year round.
More ominous Police State nonsense
What in the He#& is a “Precursor” to a crime????
If I buy some fertilizer and diesel fuel does that mean I am a terrorist or going to build a bomb??? What if I buy a bunch of knives or ammo does it mean I am going to commit a crime???
People this is scary. No doubt the guy was probably going to use it for Meth BUT is it a CRIME to buy benign items?
Can you charge a person on “Maybe they may”??? do something wrong? If I was on the Grand Jury I would laugh this out of the court room what a stupid load of nonsense.
