A tip to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office led to the discovery of a handful of marijuana plants, some more than eight-feet tall. According to Lt. Doug Gregg, investigators discovered the $5,000 worth of marijuana off a trail near Link Road in Fall Branch Tuesday.

The people responsible likely began growing the pot in that location about a year ago, Gregg said. He said investigators are still searching for those people.

Gregg said he hasn’t seen pot plants that tall around here in a long time.

I don’t see how they think these plants are worth $5K. They don’t even have buds on them. They are worthless without that.

Ease up there NO IRS.  I agree with you, mostly.  I too believe marijuana should be legalized.  I don’t think it is a waste of law enforcement time, but rather than destroy what they find, the county gov’t. should be able to sell it and keep the money for themselves.  Sell and tax it just like cigs.  Pot heads are a laid back group of people.  It would be great if being so mellow was not against the law.

More information on the destruction and money lost and law enforcement resources WASTED due to Marijuana Prohibition

Those pictures of the two officers standing next to A PLANT tells it all. How utterly silly we are to support and fund such a huge waste of law enforcement resources with our hard earned tax money.

I wonder how many child molesters and thieves are running around unabated while WCSO plods through the woods looking for PLANTS??

PATHETIC

LEGALIZE AND TAX MARIJUANA

The “Drug War” against a PLANT is a SCAM and a SHAM and not winnable
and is in place to protect the prison industrial complex, to allow law enforcement to violate your freedom and liberty so they can expand their jails and empires and to fund new court houses and judge salaries and to protect the pharmaceutical and alcohol industry a.k.a OLD MONEY

Give it up law enforcement you are peeing in the wind. We are on to the SCAM and the LIE called Marijuana Prohibition
