Man Charged With Selling Rented 52” Plasma TV

A Gray, Tennessee man is charged with theft after police say he rented a TV worth $2,183 and then sold it.
In a news release from Johnson City Police, officers said they got a complaint from EZ Rentals, 1928 S. Roan Street, where an employee said Marshall Lynn Hodges, 28, 235 Cedar Valley Road, Gray, Tennessee rented a 52” Hitachi plasma TV in early December. The employee said he never paid rent, and EZ Rental was unable to contact Hodges. “On 04/22/2009, affiant spoke with Hodges who admitted to selling the TV shortly after he renting it,“ according to the police report.
Hodges was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center with bond at $10,000.

LOL this is funny. Rent-to-own is the biggest rip-off that there is…so somebody rips off the crooks.
Not saying what this guy did was right, just funny.
Sometimes,just for a laugh, I read the fine print in the ads. That $2000 TV will likely cost you $6000+ before you get it paid for. Nice racket there.And it’s perfectly legal.
We sure have our fair share of idiots in this area.
