Knoxville, Johnson City men arrested on drug charges on Bell Ridge Road

Two men were arrested over the weekend and charged with numerous drug charges after Johnson City Police say they conducted an investigation into an incident which originally occurred at a Johnson City motel.

According to reports, officers searched an apartment on Bell Ridge Road,  with consent, and found a large amount of crack cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a semi-automatic handgun.

James Regenold, 48, of 1500 Bell Ridge Rd, apt 38, was charged with Possession of Schedule II for Resale, Simple Possession of Schedule VI, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Maintaining a Dwelling where narcotics are kept or sold. Regenold’s bond was set at $22,000.

David Turner, 18, of 410 Lake Side Sreet, Knoxville, Tenn. is charged with Possession of Schedule II for Resale, Simple Possession of Schedule VI, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony.

Turner also is charged with Possession of Schedule II for Resale, Driving on a Suspended License, Criminal Impersonation, Evading Arrest, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, and Theft under $500. The latter charges stem from an incident that occurred on October 29 at the Comfort Inn, 1900 S. Roan St, room 113.

Turner’s combined bond on all charges is $45,000. 

Both defendants are being held in the Washington County Detention Center awaiting arraignment today in the General Sessions Court in the Washington County Justice Center, Jonesborough.
