A tip led police to the home of a Kingsport man. Inside officers say they found drugs, cash and a gun.

Police arrested Dustin Crawford on charges possession of marijuana for resale and maintaining a dwelling where illegal substances are used, sold, or stored.

Crawford was arrested after Kingsport narcotics units and a SWAT team searched his McNeil Street home. Investigators say they obtained a search warrant after receiving information that a substantial amount of marijuana may have been inside. Investigators say they found over three pounds of marijuana in the house. They also found drug paraphernalia, a handgun, and more than $6,000.

Kingsport police should be ashamed of themselves for even using the resources to harass a guy with a little pot.

Surely there’s enough real crime in Kingsport (LOL) to keep the cops there busy.
I only wish that most cops were more like the cops at L.E.A.P and realized that their support of the drug war is a detriment to both society and the concept of justice.
