I just got my electric bill today. All I can say is…how? My bill has jumped almost $75.00 per month. Our elctric bill has never been over $175.00 per month in the past four years. This month it is $250.00. This was an incredibly warm month. It wasn’t even that high when our heatpump went out and we had electric heaters going to several days. This year I decided to save a little and cut the thermostat back two degrees, we usually set it on 71, we now have it set at 69. And, our bill has gone up considerably. How are we going to cope with it? I guess we are going to have to cut it back a little more and cut back on grocery money each week to cover the increase. Luckily gas is down, if not I’m not sure what we would be doing. I knew there was a slight increase in the rate but I thought they said it would only amount to a few dollars each month. Well, I guess when you are a big executive $75.00 is a few dollars. I guess we are going to have to wear our coats in the house now, just wait til it actually gets cold… Thanks BTES!
