Investigation continues into early morning armed robbery

The Elizabethton Police Department continues their investigation into an early morning armed robbery, which they say involved a gun.
Police tell 11 Connects the alleged armed robbery took place at the Quick Stop Market, a convenience store on the 2400 block of West Elk Avenue.
Police say the incident happened about 2:20 a.m. Police are looking for a man who robbed the store with a handgun. They say the man demanded money from the cashier and left with an undetermined amount cash. According to police, nobody was hurt.
Police believe the man left the store on foot, but they think he left the area with another individual in a dark colored vehicle. Police report the vehicle was last seen traveling on the Elizabethton Highway toward Johnson City.
Police say the man is likely in his early 20s, nearly 6 feet tall, approximately 230 pounds, has dark hair and a stocky build. According to police, the man was wearing a hooded shirt, blue jeans and white running shoes.

Oops, my mistake. Armed robbery just refers to a robbery in which the individual committing the crime is armed with a deadly weapon.
